May 9 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Meridian Playground 4800 Meridian Avenue North, Seattle, Washington Shop the Tilth Alliance May Edible Plant Sale and then come learn about RainWise and meet our contractors! Tilth Alliance's annual May Edible Plant Sale features the largest selection of organically, sustainably and locally grown vegetable plant starts in the Puget Sound region. With every storm, rain carries pollutants off our roofs, driveways and other hard surfaces to local creeks, Lake Washington and Puget Sound. Rain gardens and cisterns can help control this stormwater, but we need your help! In selected areas of Seattle, the City of Seattle and King County will pay up to 100 percent of the cost of installing rain gardens and cisterns on homeowners’ properties. Walking Tour: RainWise Installations in West Seattle June 9 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm A.T. Milo Park 8402 30th Avenue Southwest, Seattle, WA, United States Come for a walk in the neighborhood and learn about RainWise! The RainWise team will lead a walking tour showcasing RainWise installations in the West Seattle neighborhood. The route is about one mile with some gentle inclines, starting and finishing at the NW Corner of A.T. Milo Park (8402 30th Ave SW, Seattle 98126). Plan for 60 to 90 minutes. This in-person information session is for homeowners in RainWise-eligible areas of Seattle who want to learn more about RainWise rebates. You’ll learn how rain gardens and cisterns help reduce stormwater pollution, how the rebate process works, and how to choose a contractor. Rebates may cover up to 100% of project costs.
